Scion has just released details of the new 2012 tC Release Series 7.0, called High Voltage. Saying it is “forged by the hands of Zeus”, the first release series of the new redesigned tC is definitely bright with the flash of color and spark.
The new RS7 will e made in 2200 copies due at dealers this summer. Starting at $21,625 it is priced at a slight premium over its more pedestrian brethren. But the RS7 has a lot of custom features and equipment that really make it stand out.
The look starts with a custom body kit TRD body kit that wraps around the front fascia and sides, giving the tC a lower look. A thick textured honeycomb front fascia grill gives a finishing touch. The whole theme it tied to the ground with a special set of black finished 18″ wheels exclusive to the RS7.
Inside, special interior touches include color keyed seating inserts that really add some flash. A start button is one stand out feature for the RS7 that would be nice to have on all tC’s. Like most release series models it comes standard with an upgraded Pioneer stereo system too.
I like the leather wrapped steering wheel with color keyed stitching. Nothing upgrades the feel of a car inside like leather in your hands. And of course you get the numbered plaque on the center console showing the production number of your special RS7.
This is one of the brighter and most eye catching release series tC’s in recent memory. If you want one, get with your dealer now to find out when they will be arriving. We anticipate this one will have a waiting list.
