One of the top easy fast mods for just about any car to pick up a few horsepower is the cold air intake. It has taken about a year for many of our tuning companies and manufacturer’s to finally get some variety of product out for the new 2011 Scion tC.
Injen has just released a pair of cold-air intakes for the new tC that come with their beautifully sculpted and high quality finishing. Their new Speed Pro series system for the Scion tC is a long tube intake that sets the filter down low and has been carefully engineered to keep your air/fuel ratio safe.
The company says their patent pending technology constricts the air intake at one point, and then maximizes airflow at other points to supply the maximum amount of air to the intake manifold. And does it look good.
But to the meat of it, by reducing turbulence and providing a less restrictive flow and a high performance filter, Injen has seen gains of 9 HP and 8 ft/lbs of torque for the 2011+ Scion tC.
Injen builds their systems of either polished or black 6061, T-6 aluminum alloy. An Injen performance dry nano-fiber air filter with built-in velocity stack is also included. Their systems come with stainless steel clamps, high quality silicone hoses, and instructions.
The 2011 Scion tC systems MSRP is $360 but you can get them for less depending on where you buy. As stated they come in black (part# SP2117BLK) or polished aluminum (part# SP2117P).
