The new Scion FR-S has been one of the most newsworthy new cars we have covered here at Sciclonic. Every time we post anything about this new rear-wheel-drive sports car, our reader traffic shoots through the roof.
In the past year all the news and photography has mostly been about the concepts that Toyota has shown of the new FR-S, to be sold under the Scion brand here in the United States and in Canada. There have also been a lot of spy photos of the production and racing car variants of the FR-S and is twin the Subaru BRZ floating around on the internet.
The spy photos and rumors will all be put to rest in December when both cars make their debut at the Tokyo Auto Show. But in the meantime, Scion has launched a new mini-site so you can sign to receive the latest information, news and swag.
The website is www.frs-scion.com. At present it is only taking sign ups for their mailing list and asking you to choose from a palette of colors and which transmission you would want in the FR-S. The polling is no doubt a way for Scion to gauge what mixture of colors and transmissions to offer, as well as what colors to showcase when the cars first appear.
We intend to be one of the first to test drive and review the new Scion FR-S when they become available to the press. The new rear-wheel-drive sports car is believed to be an affordable entry into our market with pricing in the $20,000’s
