The new Scion tC RS7’s are now at your local Scion dealerships. With only 2200 of the bright yellow “High Voltage” tC’s to be built, they wont last long. Our local dealership in Mesa, AZ had two of them on hand, both standing out of the line of drab colors like crazy.
As our article on the tC RS7 laid out before, the new tC special release has a number of cool features “forged by Zeus”. The TRD body kit is slick and really dresses up the tC well. The black wheels really pop against the bright yellow backdrop too.
One thing we noticed however since our last visit to our local Scion dealership is that they have desegregated the Scion and Toyota sales showrooms and staff. This was actually quite disappointing to find, with the Scion’s now sprinkled in and around the Toyota models and difficult to find. One of the tC’s was wedged into a line of Tundra trucks and there is no longer a “Scion section” to be found.
Worse, the reptile sales staff previously Toyota only guys were now slithering their tongues all over us when we went to shoot photos of the Scion tC RS7. They were all camped around the tC RS7 in lawn chairs bugging us to buy a car today and right now gang style the whole time we were there. What the hell?
Before when it was a segregated Scion side of the dealership you could look around and check out the cars without getting hit on by the pack of dogs. They were on our legs so much we had to take a shower when we got home. Hopefully this isn’t the direction all Scion dealers are headed. If so, we will be doing all our future car buying purely over the internet and having it delivered.
