There have been four fixtures in the Premier League so far and only one team maintains a clean streak, Manchester City. The Citizens sit on top of the table with twelve points from their games as teams set to fight-out on the deadline day and attempt to strengthen their sides. Also, it is the least enjoyable time for the fans as there won’t be any club action due to the international break.

Joel Ward celebrates his goal against Premier League defending champions Chelsea

Swansea, Leicester and Crystal Palace in top four

No, there is no mistake in what you just read.

Crystal Palace has three wins and a defeat, one of its victories came at the Stamford Bridge this week. The home of the defending champions, Chelsea. However, Chelsea did try to get back with a Falcao header in the 79th minute, but just two minutes later another goal from Palace’s Joel Ward sealed the game for the visitors at 2-1.

Defeating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho in-charge is no short of an achievement by itself. It was the manager’s second defeat ever at the Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, and the Eagles handed it to him on his 100th game in-charge at the Bridge. This win puts Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace on second spot behind Manchester City in the Premier League.

Pardew’s side have played great football this season and his reunion with French midfielder Yohan Cabaye at the club seems to have been the catalyst for success at the club. The only loss they suffered this season came against the Gunners in their second fixture of the season.

Like Crystal Palace, fourth placed Swansea have been up against two of the best in the League so far and managed a point on both occasions. The Welsh side faced defending champions Chelsea on their opening day at the Stamford Bridge and came out with a point, that could have been three. On the other hand, Gary Monk and his side came out victorious at home this week with a 2-1 victory.

Leicester, however is the only side that is yet to face a top four club. However, their performances would be interesting to watch this season.
