Happy Birthday Ryan Kelley

Ryan Jonathan Kelley was born and raised in a western suburb of Chicago, Glen Ellyn, Illinois on August 31st, 1986. He is the brother of Kristie Kelley and is the fifth oldest among 15 siblings out of which 9 are adopted.

Ryan never went to any school and, was always home schooled because of the need to be flexible with his acting schedule. When he was 2 years of age, his mother took him and five of his siblings to Chicago to meet an agent.

Kelley loves playing soccer, watching football and is a great fan of the Raiders. He started commercials at a very tender age and, has appeared in over 50 commercials till date and, got his first role in a movie when he was in first grade.

When Kelley was asked as to what is the best lesson in regards to working in Hollywood, he quoted – Don’t take rejection personally and be prepared to make suggestions about your character.

Kelley played a supporting role in 2002 in the film titled Stolen Summer, which was a film made during Project Greenlight. He was also a part of Small-Ville for only two episodes. Two years later he played the lead role in the movie The Dust Factory.

In 2006, Kelley played the role of a marine in the movie Letters from Iwo Jima and, as Roy – a great nephew of Butch Cassidy in the movie titled Outlaw Trail: The Treasure of Butch Cassidy. In 2009, he got his second lead role in the movie Prayers for Bobby. The same year he played the role of Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Alien Swan and was also a part of Sexting in Suburbia (2012).

He played the role of a young deputy under the name of Jordan Parrish in MTV Show: Teen Wolf in the year 2014. The role sparked an ongoing media buzz as neither the audience nor Kelley himself was aware of the fact as to exactly what kind of creature Parrish is.

Ryan won the Independent Spirits Awards in 2005 for his work in Mean Creek under the category of Special Distinction Award and, two years later bagged the Ford Lauderdale International Film Festival in the category: Best Ensemble for his work in Still Green.
