Many people have yet to figure that out what Donald Trump exactly intends to do to America once he becomes the president. They seem confused, almost most of them. But then again, there always are exceptions and this time the exception goes by the title ‘South Park’. The central theme of the last night’s episode was mostly immigration and it garnered a hell lot of pre-air buzz which made the episode’s viewership rise to some degree. Now, what was there in the show to be so excited about? Let us tell you, on the surface it might seem different, but on a deeper level, the show inarguably was about Donald Trump (and his presidential stint). The episode left no stone unturned in burning Trump, the same way the writers have done to many famous people before. Its satirical content has always been the centre of controversies but it being a comedy show, nobody takes it seriously.

The last night’s episode revolved around Donald Trump, a lot and argued that he is more than just a mere whim. He shouldn’t be taken lightly, he could become extremely dangerous, and he could become the president of United States of America. Full marks for the sense of humour eh!

The gist of the episode is the immigration of the Canadian people to Colorado and along with them, they brought their foreign customs (politeness, the rampant use of the word “buddy,” a tendency to put maple syrup on pasta), in response to which the people of South Park are predictably indignant.

Mr. Garrison, while being extremely pissed, wearing a “Where My Country Gone?” baseball cap, takes the responsibility to travel to Canada to demand that South Park’s neighbour to the north take back its immigrants only to discover that Canadians have built a wall on the borders in order to keep the Americans out.

He somehow finds a way to enter the country only to find out that Canada, as he knew it and heard about, is totally different. It looks like a post apocalyptic wasteland and the only structure stood with pride is a building which belongs to, yes you guessed it right, President Donald Trump.

He then meets some Canadian guy who tells him all about it. He says with tears in his eyes- “There were several candidates during the Canadian elections. One of them was this brash asshole who just spoke his mind. He didn’t really offer any solutions, he just said outrageous things. We thought it was funny.”

“Nobody ever thought he’d be president! It was a joke! We just let the joke go on for too long. He kept gaining momentum, and by the time we were all ready to say, “Okay, let’s get serious now, who should really be president?” he was already being sworn into office. We weren’t paying attention! We weren’t paying attention!”

So much for the ‘tongue in cheek’ humour eh!
