Time seems to have no meaning with the realm of online video game Fortnite.

Within a few days of players amazed and astonished when the game was wiped out by a massive asteroid that left just a pulsing black hole, Fortnite is back.

Chapter 2 – the new game – introduces gamers to a brave new world, with a new play map, updated rules and a general across the board upgrade.

The game basics are the dame – choose a landing spot and get together with up to 100 other players to battle your way through to victory.

For many, the much hyped new feature of bots has fallen flat.

Bots not working as expected

Epic Games, the Fortnite creators heralded the change by saying: “In the next Season, we are adding Bots to Fortnite.

“They will behave similarly to normal players and will help provide a better path for players to grow in skill. Bots will work in conjunction with the new matchmaking system, and as your skill improves, you’ll face fewer Bots.

“Bots will not be present in competitive playlists. This is another system that we will continue to update and iterate.”

However, players are reporting the Bots are failing to work properly and many do not fight back or just loop through pre-programed manoeuvres.

One criticism of Epic is the company has only just delivered patch notes outlining the changes to gameplay for the new Fortnite chapter.

Pricing and developer update published at last

The company wants to let gamers jump in and find out how to cope on their own.

But in response to criticism, a rough developers handbook has appeared on the Fortnite web site.

Epic has also issued a guide adjusting V-Buck pricing between countries.

“Fortnite pricing for products has had some level of variance across regions and platforms due to currency fluctuations over time and some inconsistencies in how prices were initially set. We are making some adjustments to certain products in a few specific countries and on some platforms in order to create fairer pricing across all regions.,” says the company.

Fortnite is enjoyed by more than 125 million players worldwide, bringing in revenue worth billions of dollars each year.
