An 11-year-old Palestinian boy images with a broken arm to whom an armed Israeli soldier is trying to arrest in the West Bank has went viral over the weekend on social media.
From the images its clearly seen that a soldier is putting a headlock on the child, in order to free the boy from him, women are pulling the soldier’s back.
During a weekly protest held on Friday this altercation took place. Against the settlement construction in the village of Nabi Saleh in the West Bank, Palestinian activists decided to organize the protest.
The boy’s father, Bassem Tamimi told that he was present there at the time of the incident happened.
Tamimi said, “This is very difficult for any father or mother to see their son or daughter in that way, being violently attacked”.
He is a Palestinian activist and also was involved as one of the organizers of the demonstration.
According to Israeli army those Actions were justified.People in the crowd had thrown rocks at the soldiers, saying this the Israeli army defended its actions.
An Israeli army spokeswoman told that, “The forces decided to detain one of the Palestinians identified hurling rocks”.
The arrest was halted by the commander at the scene, in order to avoid any escalation of the situation, as said by the army.
Tamimi told that his daughter and wife were trying to free his son where they clashed with the soldier.
Protests were stagged for years against Israel’s settlement policy by some residents of Nabi Saleh.
These protests used to turn into violence sometimes, stones were thrown by the Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers firing rubber bullets and tear gas.
